  Where to begin; opened new joint account with my wife who already had a twenty year old account with ANZ. Was asked if we would like an overdraft, said yes. Two weeks later get turned down for overdraft, why? Not enough activity on the account! It's a new account! So why bother offering us an overdraft at all! Best thing is my wife has an overdraft on her other account with them, but this is not taken into consideration, unbelievable!

  Tried to open a business account,had the original deed and an official change of name certificate. They said can't open unless we get a new deed with new name. Checked with our accountant, he checked into it - said bank is wrong. Went back to them, still wouldn't open the account! New deed would be $480. Went to Commonwealth bank, got new business account done in twenty minutes with original deed and certificate! There have been other problems with this terrible branch, DO NOT GO THERE! Ive since closed all my accounts with ANZ and gone to the Commonwealth. When closing my accounts they didn't even bother to enquire why! Terrible, terrible service!
